Osun Governor Declares Public Holiday to Honor Teachers

Osun Governor Ademola Adeleke has declared Monday, October 7, a public holiday for all public and private school teachers in the state, celebrating World Teachers’ Day. This announcement emphasizes his administration’s commitment to honoring educators and enhancing their well-being as vital contributors to knowledge and growth.

In a statement from the state’s Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Mr. Kolapo Alimi, Adeleke expressed his gratitude for teachers’ invaluable roles in shaping the education sector, not just in Osun or Nigeria but globally.

Adeleke reiterated his administration’s commitment to improving the lives of teachers. “My government will continue to do everything morally and officially possible to ensure that you feel valued and fulfilled in your essential roles as educators,” he added.
