Two Bodies Believed to Be Fleeing Bandits Found in Kaduna

Hunters in Kaduna State have stumbled upon two bodies thought to be those of bandits who fled following a military assault in the Kurmin-Kare forest, located in the Kachia local government area. This discovery came after a fierce gun battle between soldiers and bandits on Saturday at Mai-Iddo village, which resulted in the death of three bandits and the rescue of four farmers, including a woman, held captive by the criminals.

The bodies were found on Monday by two hunters from the nearby Kurmin-Kare village, who reported discovering the remains on a rocky hill. Local sources claim the corpses were likely part of the group of bandits that had fled the clash at Mai-Iddo. These bodies were said to have been severely bullet-riddled.

While the village chief has corroborated the hunters’ discovery, the official confirmation from ASP Hassan Mansur, spokesperson for the state police command, has yet to be issued.
