FG Unveils Online Portal for Seamless Access to Civil Service Circulars

The Federal Government has launched the *”Compendium of Circulars”*, an online portal designed to ensure seamless access to service-wide circulars for civil servants across Nigeria. This innovative platform, introduced on Wednesday in Abuja, aims to enhance governance, improve efficiency, and safeguard institutional memory.

Mrs. Didi Walson-Jack, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HOCSF), announced the initiative during the inauguration event, emphasizing its significance for civil service delivery. She highlighted how circulars have historically provided vital guidance for governance and policy clarification, yet their accessibility has often been hindered by administrative changes and lack of proper documentation.

“Circulars are critical for ensuring consistent communication and guiding operations across the civil service,” Walson-Jack noted. “However, limited accessibility has disrupted continuity and efficiency over the years. This portal addresses those challenges by providing civil servants with easy and immediate access to vital documents.”

The newly launched platform is structured to be user-friendly and well-indexed, enabling civil servants to search and retrieve circulars from various administrations, including extra-ministerial offices. This digital repository ensures that essential information is retained and readily available, mitigating administrative delays.

“This innovation will accelerate decision-making, reduce bottlenecks, and strengthen institutional memory within the civil service,” Walson-Jack added. She emphasized that the initiative aligns with the government’s broader objectives of fostering accountability, efficiency, and progress.

The *Compendium of Circulars* is set to play a pivotal role in modernizing Nigeria’s civil service, offering a lasting resource for current and future administrations to support effective governance and service delivery.
