Governor Adeleke Denies Plans to Dump PDP for ADC

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has dismissed reports suggesting that he intends to leave the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

In a statement released on Thursday by his spokesperson, Mallam Olawale Rasheed, the governor described the rumours as false, baseless, and politically motivated.

“Our attention has been drawn to claims by the Osun State APC chairman that Governor Ademola Adeleke is in talks with former Governor Rauf Aregbesola about joining the ADC,” Rasheed said. “The report is entirely false. It’s a fabrication and nothing more than fake news.”

Rasheed emphasized that there have been no discussions or negotiations between Adeleke and Aregbesola, insisting that the circulating story was a deliberate attempt by opposition figures to mislead the public.

“The governor remains a committed member of the Peoples Democratic Party,” the statement added. “We urge the public to disregard this fake news from the pit of hell.”

The clarification follows rising political speculation in Osun State, as some local politicians are believed to be aligning with Aregbesola’s political movement. However, Adeleke’s camp maintains that the governor’s loyalty to the PDP remains unwavering.
