Nasarawa United Celebrate Collins’ First Super Eagles Call-Up

Published

Nasarawa United have expressed immense pride in the inclusion of Victor Collins in the Super Eagles squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. Collins, a standout centre-back, received his maiden invitation by caretaker coach Augustine Eguavoen on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in his career.

The defender, who was previously called up to the Super Eagles Team B for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Ghana’s Black Galaxies, is the only home-based player named in the squad. His inclusion is seen as a well-deserved recognition of his hard work and commitment to the sport.

In a statement, Nasarawa United praised Collins’ dedication, noting, “We are ecstatic about this development. It reflects his hard work, commitment, and passion for the sport, and we have no doubt that he will, like our other ambassadors, make valuable contributions to the National Team.”

The Super Eagles are set to face Benin Republic on Thursday, November 14, before hosting Rwanda on November 18 at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
