Davido Brushes Off Wizkid’s Social Media Jabs

Afrobeats sensation David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has chosen to overlook the recent social media digs from his fellow artist Wizkid, as their rivalry reignited on Tuesday. The tension flared up when Davido teased a snippet of his forthcoming single, set for release in 2024.

The situation escalated when Davido’s friend, Kayode Yajaur—also known as Black Tycoone—took a shot at Wizkid, suggesting he should finally drop his long-awaited album. He tweeted, “Tell your Daddy to drop an album already.”

In response, Wizkid took to X (formerly Twitter), delivering a cryptic jab aimed at Davido’s camp, stating, “P***y boys dropping mid again,” followed by, “Una don tire! Make una go rest small!” Although he didn’t directly name Davido, fans quickly connected the dots, interpreting the remarks as targeted insults.

In Davido’s defense, a supporter questioned Wizkid’s motives, tweeting, “So if you no beef @davido, your song won’t sell?” Wizkid wasted no time in denying the clout-chasing accusations, insisting, “I don’t beef wack niggas! We all know he’s wack! No talent!”

As of now, Davido has not reacted to Wizkid’s comments, opting instead to concentrate on promoting his other projects across his social media channels.
