DHQ Issues Stark Warning to Asari Dokubo: “Mind Your Words or Face the Military”

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has issued a firm warning to former militant leader Asari Dokubo, urging him to watch his words or prepare to confront the Nigerian military directly. Major General Edward Buba, the Director of Defence Media Operations, made this statement during a media briefing in Abuja, challenging Dokubo to step onto the battlefield and demonstrate his abilities against the military’s might.

General Buba emphasized that the ex-militant leader would be dealt with decisively, calling on relevant security agencies to take appropriate action regarding his comments. This warning follows a viral video in which Dokubo alleged that two helicopters hovered over his residence for an extended period. The 60-year-old interpreted this as a provocation from the government, police, and supporters of former Rivers State Governor and FCT minister, Nyesom Wike.

Dokubo further threatened that if the helicopters were shot down, the responsibility would not fall on him. “I didn’t go looking for the helicopters to shoot them down. I will shoot down the helicopters. I swear by Allah that I will shoot down the helicopters,” he declared.
