Heavy Rainfall Triggers Flooding in Ogbomoso, Oyo State

Several homes in Ogbomoso, Oyo State, have been submerged following heavy rainfall that caused severe flooding in the area. Reports indicate that torrential rain began on Wednesday and continued into Thursday morning, leading to the overflow of the Ora River, which runs through the eastern part of the city.

The flooding severely impacted communities like Isale Ora and Aduinin, with significant property damage. A Cherubim and Seraphim church, as well as a wooden store selling planks situated along the riverbank, were completely submerged.

In addition to these, several other properties were reported to have sustained flood damage.
