NPA Contributes N200 Million to Aid Borno Flood Victims

In a significant gesture of support, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) has pledged N200 million to assist victims affected by the recent catastrophic floods in Borno State. This initiative, articulated in a letter by NPA Managing Director and CEO Dr. Abubakar Dantsoho, reflects the organization’s commitment to stand in solidarity with the state amid the extensive damage and disruptions caused by the flooding.

Guided by the Honourable Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, this donation aims to bolster ongoing disaster relief efforts in the region. On September 20, 2024, NPA representatives—including Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar, Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services; Ms. Vivian Richard Edet, Executive Director of Finance and Administration; and Engr. Olalekan Badmus, Executive Director of Marine and Operations—officially presented the cheque to the Borno State Governor in Maiduguri.
