“Why I Want Bad Girl Roles” – BBNaija Star Saskay Opens Up

BBNaija alum Tsakute Jonah, famously known as Saskay, has revealed her desire to embrace “bad girl” roles as she carves her path in Nollywood. The reality TV star-turned-actress shared her aspirations during a chat with Potpourri, highlighting her ambition to take on roles that push her boundaries and challenge her acting skills.

Saskay, who has already dabbled in acting with a few projects, explained that her focus is on delivering quality performances rather than chasing fame. She emphasized her yearning for roles that demand deep preparation and allow her to fully immerse herself in the character.

“I’m looking to work with people who are producing quality. I’m not just looking for the fame that comes through acting. I want to do something that will speak to the people,” she said. “I want a role that will make me sit down and take days or weeks to fit into. I want to pour my mind into that role.”

Saskay expressed her desire to break away from the mellow, teenage roles she has played so far. She shared her vision of portraying characters that contrast her real-life personality, such as a vibrant party girl or a bold, daring “bad girl” character.

“I don’t just want a role where I read the script and go on set. I want a role that will challenge me from who I actually am. Imagine me playing the role of a party girl—something very rare out there. I’d like to try that,” she added.
