Barcelona Urges Spain to Prioritize Lamine Yamal’s Recovery Amid Injury Concerns

Published

Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has issued a clear message to the Spain national team regarding Lamine Yamal’s well-being as the player faces an ankle injury. Yamal, who was previously included in Spain’s squad for the upcoming Nations League fixtures, missed Sunday’s match against Real Sociedad due to the injury.

Flick expressed his hope that the national team would respect the decision and let the young forward stay at Barcelona to recover during the international break. “I think the doctors will advise Lamine not to play for the national team,” Flick stated in a press conference. “We will speak to the RFEF, and if he could have played, he would have. But right now, there is no other option. I hope the right thing will be done.”

As the international fixtures approach, Barcelona and its fans will be watching closely to see if the Spanish federation follows the advice to ensure Yamal’s proper recovery.
