Bellingham Ready to Play Anywhere for Real Madrid Ahead of Liverpool Clash

Ahead of Real Madrid’s Champions League showdown with Liverpool at Anfield, Jude Bellingham has expressed his readiness to play any position for the benefit of the team. The 21-year-old attacking midfielder, who has been a standout player since his move from Borussia Dortmund, emphasized his flexibility in adapting to different roles to help his side secure victories.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday night, Bellingham shared his thoughts on his role at the Spanish club, stating, “I prefer a bit more up-front, but it’s not important for me. I’m willing to play wherever they put me, and I’m not affected by the position.” Despite his preference for attacking, the England international revealed that he is focused on the team’s success and will continue to adjust his style of play as necessary.

Having joined Real Madrid last summer, Bellingham has thrived in various positions, particularly after the departure of star player Karim Benzema. “There was a gap and it was a way to compensate for this lack of goals,” Bellingham explained, referring to the team’s attacking reshuffle. “This year we have signed one of the best players of this generation, who has scored an unbelievable amount of goals. My role is going to change, and I’m totally willing to do that.”

Since the arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Bellingham’s attacking duties have shifted. Last season, he formed a potent forward trio with Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo, scoring 23 goals in all competitions. However, this season, he has netted only two goals, despite back-to-back strikes in recent league matches.
