Ecuadorian Footballer Marco Angulo Dies After Road Accident

Sad news has emerged from Ecuador today as 22-year-old Marco Angulo, a central midfielder for the Ecuadorian national team, has tragically passed away after being involved in a severe road accident. According to the official statement from LDU Quito, Angulo died on November 12, despite the tireless efforts of medical teams who had been fighting for his survival since the accident last month.

Angulo began his football career at Independiente del Valle’s academy, where he made a name for himself before transferring to MLS club FC Cincinnati. He was later loaned to LDU Quito. Though his time on the field was cut short, Angulo had already earned two caps for the Ecuadorian national team in friendly matches, showing great promise at such a young age. His untimely passing has left the football community in mourning.
